How will I know that my child is registered for a specific camping session? You will automatically receive a registration confirmation via email. A confirmation will also be sent via mail.
What if I cannot find my name or my child's name in the online registration system?
- Make sure that you are searching using your child's name and birth date.

Can I register online if it is my child's first time attending camp?
Yes, if your child has participated in other YMCA programs in the last 2 years.
No, If is your first time participating in a YMCA program please sign up using a paper registration. For a printable registration click here.
Do I receive a receipt? Yes, if the payment is successful, registration receipt will be displayed. Click the printer friendly version icon to print a copy of the receipt.
Is financial assistance or discounts available online? No, if you are interested in applying for financial assistance please visit the YMCA in person and fill out a request form available at the Welcome Center. Contact Mary Ann for more information: mawhitely@siouxfallsymca.org.
Are United Way Connecting Kids Coupons accepted for YMCA Summer Camp? No, please request financial assistance through a Strong Kids Financial Aid form available at the Downtown YMCA Welcome Center.
Is there a discount if I have a membership at Family Wellness? No, Unless you wish to upgrade your Family Wellness membership to include the Downtown facility. Contact Vickie Goodwin: vgoodwin@siouxfallsymca.org.
Can I pay the minimum deposit for camp of $75.00 OR the full amount?
Yes, the minimum payment of $75 will be suggested.
Minimum Payment - click Make Payment on the final Account Balance page.
Full Amount - Highlight Pay Amount and change to full dollar amount of camp session.
FYI - All Camp fees must be paid in full one week before the start of camp.
Is it possible to change the camping session dates after registering?
Please call Mary Ann (605) 336-3190 to make any changes in camping sessions.
A $10 service charge will be incurred for switching camp sessions.
It is not possible to switch camping sessions online.
I am a current Downtown YMCA member; will I receive a member discount online?
Yes, your discount will be automatically figured at time of registration.
FYI - You must be an active member of the Downtown YMCA to receive a member discount.
How will I know if a camp session is full?
After choosing your camp session the Pay Amount will say Wait List.
Wait List - Click complete registration, you will be notified if/when a spot becomes available. **
Choose another Session - Click Cancel Registration and choose another camping session.
**There is no guarantee of being placed in the session. It is best to choose another camp session if possible.
Are there waiting lists available for full sessions online?
- Yes, if you choose to be on a waiting list you will be notified as soon as there is an available spot.
- There is no guarantee that a placement will be made. We will place by first come first served.
- A payment will be made at the time child is taken off the wait list to ensure placement.
Can I update my personal information online if it is missing or incorrect? Not online, please contact Tammy trunning@siouxfallsymca.org at the YMCA to update your correct information in our system.
Can I register for ALL YMCA programs online? At this time there are only a few selected programs available for online registration. Please check back for other additions!
Is my personal and financial information safe on the YMCA's server? Yes, the YMCA uses a secure software company, DAXCO. DAXCO is used by more than 4,000 clients at more than 160 YMCA's.
