Daily Schedule
Day One:
The day will begin with all of the students playing games and getting to know one another. Our main objective will be learning how to create character in our bodies and with our voices. Students will participate in activities and take notes to help them with their homework. Before the day is done, the students will be assigned a scene and a partner for the week. Then the fun begins- memorizing!!!
Day Two:
Rehearsal time!! The students will work with the directors on their scenes. Each person will have a chance to perform and critique other participants' scenes. Next, we will read through our first group scene and have auditions. Each student will be assigned a specific role. Then, you guessed it- more memorizing!!!
Day Three:
We are half way there and it is time to work hard. The day will begin with blocking and rehearsing our first group scene. There will be some more time to practice the duets and continue memorizing. Costumes will be discussed. If time permits, we will audition for another group scene.
Day Four:
Rehearse, rehearse, and rehearse. The new group scenes will be the first priority today. Then we will need to review the scene from Tuesday. Let's not forget to practice our duets. Plus, we need to create a beginning and end for our show. Lots to do and only one day to go!
Day Five:
The day is here! All the hard work will pay off. But we need to prepare for the show with a run through and a final dress. Parents arrive with a lunch to share. Then it's time for the show!
