Daily Schedule
Day One:
Your future Shakespearian will get to know their fellow actors with theatre games. They will also get to know the man himself, William Shakespeare. With a quiz, some notes and hands on activities, we will demystify Will's words. Then it's time to learn about our scenes. After auditions your actor will go home with their assigned part.
Day Two:
Reading through the scenes is a good place to start our day. Let's make sure everyone understands their part. Then it's time for blocking so we all know where to go. Be sure to memorize your lines at home tonight.
Day Three:
Almost half way there- and it is time to work hard. Students will learn about character development with their role. We continue to rehearse and make sure the play is understandable. The day will end with discussing costumes and completing the memorization.
Day Four:
One day to go and it is time to finish things up. Let's begin with a costume parade. The rest of the day will be spent running the show as if the audience is already there. This will give the actors a day to see where they may need to work. Be sure to get a good night's sleep before the big day!!!
Day Five:
The day is here! All the hard work will pay off. The students will prepare for the show with a run through and a final dress. Parents arrive with a lunch to share with their stars. Then it's show time!
