Jeff Morgan

Chief Executive Officer


Jeff comes to Sioux Falls with over 14 years of YMCA experience. For the past four years, Jeff has served as the CEO of the Blair Family YMCA. During his time in Blair he was able to focus on the development of programs to further engage the community and restore the reputation of the YMCA. Prior to Blair, Jeff served as the CEO of the YMCA of the Prairie with locations in Holdrege and Lexington, NE. During his time there he led both communities in the development of the YMCA's. In addition, while at the YMCA of the Prairie, the YMCA was awarded the distinguished Eagle Award from the North American YMCA Development Organization for Excellence in Fundraising.

Ellen Stewart

Human Resources & Administrative Support


Ellen attended the University of Sioux Falls and has a degree in Social Work. She has now settled in Sioux Falls with her husband, Gordon, and their three children, Ember, Moses and Ransom. Outside of work, Ellen is involved in youth and women’s ministry and advocates for different areas of tribal policy.

Ashley Wolf

Marketing & Fund Development Support


Ashley joins us after spending eight years at the Aberdeen Family YMCA in Aberdeen, SD. Leaving her position as the Senior Director of Youth Development in the fall of 2017, she previously led the departments of Membership, Marketing, Youth Development, and Aquatics. Ashley is a Multi-Team Leader through the YMCA of the USA. She obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management through Southwest Minnesota State University in 2009.

In her spare time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband Brad and their two children.

Mike Murphy

Executive Director


Mike has been involved with camp since 1997 and has served as Director since 2013.  Mike was born and raised in Sioux Falls and attended South Dakota State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.   He is also a registered EMT-B and ACCT Level II Challenge Course Facilitator.  As a former camper, Mike loves to share the YMCA Camp experience with others.  When he is not at camp, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and son, running, and volunteering in the community.

Sarah Skarski

Senior Youth & Child Development Director


Sarah has several years of YMCA experience working directly with children of all ages, particularly six weeks through five years old. Working with and teaching children is truly her passion.  Sarah holds two Bachelor's Degrees, one in Early Childhood and the other in Elementary Education, each from the University of Northern Iowa.  Sarah and her husband, Jeff, reside in Sioux Falls with their three children. 

Bobbi Tellinghuisen

Youth Development Coordinator - Y-CLUB Afterschool Programs


Bobbi is a North Dakota State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science, where she spent 5 years at the YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties. She spent two years as a staff at a child care site, two as a site supervisor and one as a site director. She and her husband Justin were in Spencer Iowa for just over a year, where they added their Husky puppy Mya to the family. She enjoys reading, being on the water, taking Mya on runs, and anything else she and Justin can do outdoors together. She is very happy to be with a YMCA family!

Sarah Wittrock

Senior Program Director


Sarah has been with the Sioux Falls Family YMCA since July 2013, previously serving with the YMCA of Greater Kansas City.  After receiving her degree in elementary education, Sarah served several churches as a Director of Christian Education overseeing and developing children's, youth, and adult programming in Iowa, Kansas and Michigan. She has a passion for youth and helping them to grow mentally, physically and spiritually.  In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors camping, hiking and biking with her husband, Chris, and four-legged baby, Grace Rose.

Marcus Molbeck

Youth Sports and Recreation Coordinator


Marcus attended Minnesota State University, Mankato and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Parks, and Leisure Services and a Minor in Non-Profit Leadership. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin he moved to Sioux Falls 2 years ago. Back in Milwaukee he has worked in the Recreational field for over ten years; working for the Milwaukee Recreation Department and the YMCA in Waukesha, WI. He has a passion for sports and getting all youth involved in sports and recreation. Sports has played a large role in his life and hopes he can pass that down to the younger generation. While he is not at work enjoys the outdoors with his dog and watching the Milwaukee Bucks.

Terence Williams

Youth & Teen Program Coordinator


Terence attended Oklahoma Panhandle State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health & Physical Education. Over the last 5 years, Terence resided in Guymon, Oklahoma, while being there, he gained a passion for the Lord, and mentoring youth. In his free time, he loves to be around family, watch the San Antonio Spurs, and go fishing.

Don Schmidt

Property Manager


Don is a YMCA career professional serving YMCAs in South Dakota, California, Nevada and Oregon.  Don has enjoyed the international aspect of the YMCA through partnerships with Costa Rica, Guatemala and Kobe, Japan.  Don holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Sports & Recreation and an Master’s Degree in Education from the University of South Dakota.  He enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

Janell Slaight

Controller & HR Support


Janell initially joined the Sioux Falls YMCA as a member.  In October of 1984, she began working full-time in the accounting office as the assistant to the Business Manager.   In 1999, Janell was promoted to the Business Manager where she and her hard-working staff ensure that the financial integrity of the YMCA is maintained.  Her favorite part about working at the Y is being able to witness the positive impact that the programs have on the adults and children being served.  In her spare time Janell enjoys camping and spending time with friends and family.
